Open a PDF (or a DOCX or TXT file), pick a voice, and press play — there is nothing to install, no account to create, and no limit on how many documents you can listen to.
Your file never leaves your device. The text is extracted from the PDF locally in your browser and converted to speech with the built-in Web Speech API, so nothing is uploaded to a server. It's a private, free way to read PDFs aloud on your computer or phone.
Long documents that make other tools freeze are handled automatically: the reader splits the PDF text into sentences and reads them one after another, highlighting the current sentence so you can follow along. Note that scanned PDFs (images with no selectable text) can't be read, since there is no text to extract.
